Cantaré - Latin American Music
Cantaré, Latin American Music is based in the Washington, DC Metropolitan Area.
The mission of the group is to offer a high-quality musical performance, that also informs audiences about Latin American geography, history and culture. This engaging educational approach has become very popular in schools, libraries, museums, government agencies and a variety of other public and private venues.
Cantaré is lead by vocalist Cecilia Esquivel of Argentina, accompanied by guitar, bass, keyboard, percussion and additional vocals - depending on the size of the group hired for each event. The most requested formation of the group is duo or trio.
Additional members of Cantaré come from a core group of accomplished Latin musicians residing in the Washington Area, such as Dani Cortaza, Martín Zúñiga, Bruno Lucini, Didier Prossaird, Samuel Munguía, Leonardo Lucini, Julio Cuellar, Andrés Mallea, and Anamer Castrello, among others.
